The Garden at Aulden Farm
The garden at Aulden Farm was started from scratch in 1997.
It has evolved into an informally planted country garden. There are many different aspects to enjoy from the dry stream which is planted with ferns and iris ensata to the natural pond, a haven for wildlife surrounded by Iris sibirica.
The old orchard gives a shady area most colourful in spring and the farmyard garden is planted in an exuberant cottage garden style. The garden is very relaxed,
tranquil and some even say romantic, but that is for you to decide.
The garden has the same opening times as the nursery. April to August Tuesdays and Thursdays (10.00 to 5.00pm), March and September Thursdays only. It is also open under the National Garden Scheme on Sundays 27th April, 25th May, 29th June and 24th August in 2008 (2.00-5.30pm). Admission £2.50 Note: The nursery and garden will be closed 6th & 8th May due to show commitments. Individual, club, society and coach visits are welcome at other times by arrangement. Please phone or email. |
